In the middle of the busy run-up to Christmas, it’s easy to forget to send Christmas cards. Others have taken traditional postcards off their Christmas to-do list altogether. Last year, Finns sent only 16 million Christmas cards, while the number was still around 50 million at the turn of the millennium.

But no worries: showing your loved ones you care is the most important thing, and there’s still plenty of time to bring joy to your nearest and dearest. Stop by your neighbour’s door to wish them a Merry Christmas and give them some baked goods as a gift. Call the people who matter the most to you for a quick chat or a longer catch-up. 

You can also send an old friend a nice message to wish them a Merry Christmas. It’s even better if you include something personal: a photo of one of your family’s memorable moments in the past year or a photo of a nice moment together with the recipient.
