Lielahti district is located about 7 kilometres west of Tampere city centre. The Lielahti area is characterised by a wide range of services, with many businesses and shops, as well as its own shopping centre, Like.
Lielahde is a pleasant and quiet residential area with plenty of services, including its own primary and secondary school and kindergarten. Right next to the area is Tohlop's green outdoor trails, and swimming is also close by.
Transport connections to Tampere city centre are excellent: it takes about twenty minutes by bus to get to the central square. In the future, Lielahti will also be accessible by tram as Tampere's tram network expands in the coming years.
